The Grid ("The Grid," "we," "our," or "us") provides tools to plan and preview your Instagram feed. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal information.

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use The Grid mobile application and the thegridapp.co website (together, the "Service"). By using the Service, you consent to the practices described in this policy.

2. Information We Collect

• Your content - the photos, videos, captions, and drafts you add to your grids are stored locally on your device. We do not upload your media to our own servers.
• Instagram account information - if you choose to connect an Instagram account, authentication is handled through Instagram's official login. We receive a secure access token and basic profile information (such as your username). We never see or store your Instagram password.
• Purchase information - subscriptions are processed by Apple through the App Store. We receive anonymized purchase records (via our payments partner, RevenueCat) to unlock your subscription. We do not store your payment card details.
• Device and usage data - device type, operating system version, app version, crash reports, and anonymized usage events (such as which features are used) collected through analytics tools.

3. How We Use Information

• To provide and operate the Service, including connecting to your Instagram account at your request.
• To process and restore your subscription.
• To understand how the app is used so we can improve it.
• To diagnose crashes and fix bugs.
• To respond to your support requests.

We do not sell your personal information.

4. Third-Party Services

The Service relies on a small number of trusted third-party providers, each of which processes data under its own privacy policy:

• Apple - App Store distribution and in-app purchases.
• Instagram / Meta - account login and publishing, when you connect an account.
• Google Firebase - analytics, crash reporting, and app configuration.
• Mixpanel - anonymized product analytics.
• RevenueCat - subscription management.
• Google AdMob - advertising shown to free users. AdMob may use device identifiers to serve ads; you can limit ad tracking in your device settings.

5. Data Retention

Your grids and media live on your device and are removed when you delete the app. Instagram access tokens can be revoked at any time by disconnecting your account in the app or from Instagram's security settings. Analytics data is retained only as long as needed for the purposes described above.

6. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete personal information we hold about you, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at support@thegridapp.co.

7. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

8. Changes to This Policy
